LIPObind is a natural fat binder containing cactus leaves. You can buy it from a number of different outlets including Boots, Holland and Barrett, Tesco and Superdrug along with websites such as slimming.com.
They don’t specify which type of cactus it comes from and it simply state “patented fibre complex of organic plant source.”
They claim that it’s clinically proven to bind to 27% of dietry fat. Yet despite this, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) have banned their ads for many false or exaggerated claims. This is because studies of LIPObind have been carried out on hamsters and guineapigs rather than humans.
Proactol is also a natural fat binder made from a cactus plant however you are more limited to where you can buy it. At the moment you can only buy Proactol from their official website and a few other outlets.
The type of cactus Proactol is made from is Optunia ficus-indica and studies have been carried out on humans to witness the fat-binding ability. As a result, there have been no issues the the ASA.
The verdict
Both products appear to work very well, regardless of LIPObind’s issues with the ASA. There are so many positive testimonials for both products you simply can’t ignore that fact.
However ultimately I would have to say that Proactol wins hands down for the following reasons:-
