How much weight can you lose with Meizitang Botanical?
So far people who are taking the pills are reporting very impressive weight loss rates. Considerably more than most other natural products. Actually, the weight loss is on par with many prescription drugs, with one customer reporting losing 11 pounds in 10 days.
How does Meizitang Botanical work?
There are a number of different natural ingredients included in the product and these are:-
Xian Xian Cao (Siegesbeckia Plant) - This shrub is often used in Chinese medicine to help with insomnia, irritability, liver, headache and dizziness. As great as this sounds, there doesn’t appear to be any information about Xian Xian Cao helping with weight loss.
Job’s Tears – This is a type of grass which is said to help with weight loss, lowering cholesterol, arthritis and warts however there appears to be little to no actual evidence to back up these claims.
Artemisia dracunculua (Tarragon or dragon’s-wort) – This is a perennial herb which is said to help calm the nerves and deal with insomnia. It’s also said that Tarragon helps to stimulate appetite and act as a mild laxative.
Psyllium Husk – This plant is native to Asia and the seeds are often used as a natural laxative. You will often see this ingredient in weight loss products however it shouldn’t be take over the long-term. It’s generally advised that Psyllium Husk should only ever be taken by those who are suffering from constipation and it’s effects of long-term use haven’t been studied.
Bamboo Shoot – Of course, the favourite food of Pandas. There seems to be little information about how Bamboo shoots can help with weight loss, other than the fact that it’s low in calories.
Lotus leaf – It’s said that the Lotus leaf can help with weight loss due to it’s diuretic properties. So if you do lose weight, then it might only be water weight you are losing as opposed to fat loss.
Are there any side-effects of Meizitang Botanical slimming pills?
The vast majority of folks taking this product haven’t had a problem with side-effects however there have been a number of people reporting the following:-
- Dry mouth
- Sleeplessness
- Headaches
- Weakness
- Out of breath
Is Meizitang Botanical a scam?
To be honest, this product just seems to good to be true. And you know what they say “if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.”
For what is supposed to be a 100% natural product, the weight loss seems to be very quick. Also, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of medical backing or studies carried out on the ingredients or the product.
If you look at the list of “tainted” weight loss products published by the FDA, you will see that Meizitang is listed. Basically, the FDA found that numerous slimming products included “undisclosed” ingredients such as Sibutramine, phenytoin, phenolphthalein and bumetanide. These are pharmaceutical drugs which could cause serious harm to your health.
“These tainted weight loss products pose a great risk to public health because they contain undeclared ingredients and, in some cases, contain prescription drugs in amounts that greatly exceed their maximum recommended dosages,” said Janet Woodcock, M.D., director, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, FDA.
Conclusion
Be very careful about the products you buy. Losing weight should be done in a healthy manner and it’s quite clear that Meizitang Botanical slimming pills will help you lose weight but potentially be putting your health at risk.
It just doesn’t make sense that there are people losing so much weight on the ingredients that are supposed to be included.
Unfortunately, there are still many products on the market which are potentially very harmful to your health including Fruta Planta and 2 Day Diet.
Basically, when researching slimming pill, if you see any of the following side-effects, there’s a good chance it contains one of the pharmaceutical drugs warned about by the FDA. These symptoms are:
- Dry mouth
- Headaches
- Sleeplessness
- Anxiety
- Panic attacks
However some people suffer similar symptoms with products that contain caffeine. For instance Zotrim contains Yerba Mate and Guarana which both naturally have caffeine in it. A day’s worth of Zotrim is the equivalent of a cup of coffee.
As a result, there are people who have problems with caffeine and they experience similar symptoms of sleeplessness, increased heart rate and dry mouth.
It just goes to show how complex the world of slimming is and how you really need to be wary of products that seem too good to be true.
I just started taking Meizitang on 8/1/10 and I have just experienced dry mouth…I will come back and edit my reply once im like 2weeks in.

Hi, I just started taking the Botanical Slimming capsules today (08/06/10), I experienced dry mouth all day so I’ve been drinking alot of water. I will update in a week with results.
I started taking Meizitang June 1, 2010 and I have lost 25 pounds and was a size 14 which was tight and now I am a size 10 and comfortable. I have only experienced the dry mouth and drink lots of water about 70 – 90 ounces a day. I still eat my three meals a day and have noticed my skin has is NOT sagging. Everyone says I look great. I have tried just about every diet plan out there along with working out and nothing has worked like Meizitang. I will post again when I complete my weight loss.
Ive been taking the botanical slimming pills since July and only lost about 9 pounds. Everyone and their mothers are taking them in my home town and recently was told that these pills carrys a narcartic in them. One guy I know order them online and when the package arrived the box was empty but in it was a letter from customs stating that the pills have a narcartic. ONe other girl I know tried crossing them from mexico and also had them taking aways from customs. Im taking a drug test from work soon and scared that im going to come out positive now. Does anyone know how true this is… Im hoping it just another rumor

I have been taking botanical slimming pills since June 1st and have lost a total of 26 lbs , I started at a size 16/18 and now am fitting a 12/14…I don’t have the dry mouth everyday but I am constipated quite a bit…I still eat every meal just less as I get full faster. I ordered 5 more packs today not sure how long is to long to be on them, so I will try a couple more months.

The problem with Meizitang is that you really don’t know what you’re buying so if you’re at all worried it’s probably best to stay away from these pills. There are other slimming products on the market that don’t have side-effects such as Proactol, Capsiplex, SlimWeight Patch and Zotrim.

so i bought these and omgg. i absolutely adore it. im in a size 6/7 but i want to be in a size 4 again. so i only bought one pack and i run evry morining. its a great aide thats cheapish. i bought mine off of kanacasseceret.com and mine was not takin from customs?…i really do like this and i dont expirence any of these side effects.

Ana, it’s really up to you to decide what you want to do. The FDA has already warned people against taking Meizitang pills because of hidden prescription drugs in them. There are other products available that are more expensive but don’t contain any hidden ingredients and are generally free of side-effects. UniqueHoodia, Zotrim, Proactol, SlimWeight Patch and Capsiplex are probably the best alternatives.
I was wondering if anyone else is taking depression pills with these Meizitang pills. I have been on these pills for 2 weeks with only 2 lbs lost, plus I have only been constipated since I started using these. I am wondering if these pills clash causing the Meizitang not to work. OMG I love these pills! I’m 24 years old and have been trying to lose 20 lbs. of baby weight i had gained going on THREE years ago. I have tried every diet and diet pill and even had a personal trainer and still did not see results like i’m seeing now. There’s no info about whether taking these pills are just for women, there shouldn’t be any reason why men can’t take them.
As with any kind of weight loss regime, if you stop you’ll put the weight back on.
Again, please remember that the FDA has listed Meizitang on their list of “tainted” weight loss products so there’s no guarantee that this product is 100% safe.
Hello, I started taking meizitang botanical slimming on july 5,2010 and it has been 2 months and i have lost 23 pounds. I feel great. since i strarted the pills i have been doing the zumba workout and have gone from a size 14 to a size 10 comfortable 10. For the first week i did have a dry mouth but by the second week that symptom was gone. I had tried many diets and some pills and the side effects were horrible! I cant complain with these pills. I have 17 pds to go and cant wait to loose them. will take just one more pack and will try to maintain my weight since i do not eat the same as before,and do exercise now. But thanks to these pills i have gotten back in the right track!!
i stared this pill today, i am so what scare of the side effects, i do have a dry mouth and very sleepy. do any of ya know how long to loose weight, and when coming off , can i just come off .

I have Bren taking these pills since June 2010 and as of today, I have lost a total of 20 lbs. I eat healthy and do some walking to help me reach my weight goal. I was amazed when I went shopping yesterday and tried on a size 8 instead of a 12. I love this product. The only symptoms I have had is cotton mouth and constipation but drink plenty of water and drink and activia every morning and help with the constipation. I really do recommend them.
I take them every now and then and they wrk great. The only time I have an issue with them not working as usual, is when I take them in the middle of the day. Your supposed to take them first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything(right after you brush). But with all the not knowing what’s really in them, I got scared and stoped. I know somethings in em , but they work better than anything i’ve taken so everynow and then- when I feel like I’ve been piggin out, I take them for a couple of days.
Have had them for over a month, I had a friend of mine send them to me. Her sister lost 25lbs in 2 months and she has lost 15lbs in 2 months. I have to be honest and say I haven’t taken them everyday, I am horrible at remembering to take pills. But I have lost 8lbs in the month. I do have dry mouth, but I drink lots of water…and I think that helps, because you are suppose to drink lots of water in a day…so that helps me reach my goal. I don’t feel jittery like I have on other diet pills..which is a plus. I am using this to jumpstart my diet/workout plan. I want to lose a total of 40lbs in 42 weeks..so I have reasonable goals. I noticed the biggest thing this pill does is surpress my food intake. I can easily now keep my calorie intake of 1300 calories and not feel hunger. I am not sure about all the claims about the pill having harmful stuff in them…but I figure it seems like the FDA says things are harmful then later say whoops we were wrong and vice versa…So I am game…it works…I am going to try it.

I heard what Lindora says to eat. They say a hard boiled egg and a piece of sourdough toast or a bowl of Special K with skim milk. I don’t like hard boiled eggs so I make it fried or scrambled using spray pam and I also don’t like skim milk so I use low fat.
Lunch is a salad with protein on it and 1 vegetable (cucumber, tomatoes etc) with a low carb dressing.
Dinner is just about anything that fits on a bread plate! NO PILING UP!
I have now lost 29 pounds, feel great and told I look great! Still only side effect I feel is dry mouth so I drink over a gallon of water a day! I don’t drink coffee so I am not jittery. If I want Coffee I wait 2 hours before taking the pill!
I tried my wedding dress on after 9 years and it fits great with room to spare! I still want to lose 11 more pounds!

I have just started taking the botanical slimming pill. I have tried numerous pills like xenadrine and hydroxycut and it has worked for me. But I used to always get jitters. I have only been taking the botanical slimming pill for only 3 days and have lost 5 pounds. Also I expierence no jitters. Just dry mouth and a somewhat of sleeplessness. But I have to say this pill really does surpress your hunger than any other pill i have taken. It really works. I would recommend it for sure.
I really have been reading this interesting discussion and have come to the conclusion that in spite of the admin’s warning about its being included in the “tainted” list, there are users who love this product because it is effective and hence they would swear by it and also recommend it. But what I fail to understand that there are so many weight loss products in the market which are as effective as they are safe.So why do you have to take those pills which are dangerous?

I have been taking these for 4 weeks and have lost one stone .
I Have been taking the Meizitang for 3 days now and have lost 4 kilos already. Didn’t have any trouble getting them into Australia but it took 2 weeks. Thinking about discontinuing as they have made me thirsty 24/7, constipated and last night I suffered dizziness. Now it may just be me but has anyone else experienced a difference in there urine temperature(it’s temperature sensation at the time of excretion)? As the pills seem to be making mine hotter.
oh and i am only 22 years old so hopefully recovery will be a speedy one.

I have discovered through our version (Australia) of the FDA that the pills contain A prescription drug called Sibutramine! A banned drug in AUS, USA, EU and The UK. It was formulated for obese people to supress hunger but it was banned due to it increasing the chance of cardiac aresst and stroke. I have since then stopped as I have had other side affects such as a constant bad taste in my mouth and increased blood pressure. Please research Sibutramine as it is damaging to your health! Hope this helps.

I’ve been taking the Meizitang pills for about 1 week and 2 days. The first day i started, I weighed in at 200 lbs. flat. Today I’m weighing in at 193. I have also only experience one side effect, which is dry mouth. Although, it seems to be getting better. I play softball Monday, Wednesday(2 games), and friday, so thats what my excersize consists of. I can honestly say that it supresses my hunger, but I still make it a point to eat. I just eat healthier and way smaller portions than i use to. I eat a cup of cereal w/a banana for breakfast, a can of tuna and about 12-15 kashi whole wheat crackers, and dinner just depends on what my husbands makes. I still eat regular food also like pizza, pasta, eggs, etc. for dinner, i just eat a whole lot less than i use too. It does bother me that a lot of people have said that there is a harmful drug in the pill, i hope it does not cause me to suffer severe side effects later in life, bc i know a lot of people who are taking these pills as well.
And LAURA….. YOUR 15 YEARS OLD AND AT A VERY HEALTHY WEIGHT, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE TAKING OR EVEN THINKING ABOUT TAKING THESE PILLS!!!
