There’s a whole lot that you should understand about losing weight with diet pills and the fact is that the vast majority of people taking them haven’t got a clue what you’re doing. You’d be forgiven for thinking that pills are the answer to your problem with being over weight however if you value your health please take the time to know what you’re putting into your body.
First of all you need to look past the wild claims that diet pill manufacturers make. If you see a photo of an attractive man or woman wearing an oversized pair of jeans, this doesn’t mean to say that these are genuine users of the pill. Often these photos are sold to many weight loss companies and if you look at enough websites you’ll see the same photos over and over again.
Even if the photo they use is of a genuine customer, if you have a look at the small print they’ll often say “results not typical.” This means that if you take the pills, chances are you won’t lose anywhere near as much. Also, often these companies will tell you that you should combine the pills with a healthy diet and exercise.
If you have to go on a diet and exercise, won’t you lose weight anyway? Yes. So does that mean all diet pills are a waste of money? Sometimes but not always.
How to buy an effective diet pill
The first step in buying a good diet pill is to understand all the different types. It might surprise you to discover that there are indeed different kinds of weight loss pill. If you just go buying the fist pill you read about it could be money (literally) down the toilet. Or even worse, it could make you ill.
Fat burners - These are designed specifically to help you burn more calories which in turn means you’ll lose fat. It does this by increasing your metabolism and this is a great kind of pill to take. You’ll find a number of fat burners on the market such as Oolong tea and chilli peppers.
Fat blockers - Not to be confused with fat burners, fat blockers work by blocking a percentage of the fat you eat from being digested. The most well-known brand of over the counter fat blocker is probably Alli. However be warned, with Alli there are some pretty horrible side-effects. If you want a natural alternative you should consider Proactol.
Carb blockers – These work in a pretty similar way to fat blockers however they actually block carbs instead. White kidney bean extract is the best known carb blocker and can be found in DECarb.
Appetite suppressant – This is the kind of pill to take if you feel you can’t stop eating. Some appetite suppressants such as Hoodia Gordonii work by tricking your brain into thinking that your stomach is full when in actual fact it isn’t. Then there are other pills such as Zotrim that make your food stay in your stomach for longer.
Always fully research any pill you’re going to buy to make sure the results are genuine and you will lose weight.
