How To Lose 2 Pounds A Week
2 pounds a week may not seem like much since it is easy enough to gain as much pounds in the same period. Some people may find desirable results during the first few weeks, but are then faced either with a weight loss plateau or even the eventual weight gain. For some people, the mere act of losing those first 2 pounds per week never materializes at all. Fortunately, there are many possible options on how to lose 2 pounds a week that really truly works. The better part of this deal is that this weight loss program can be done by almost anyone, of any age, of any medical history. Here is how.
Get a clean bill of health from the doc. This may sound off the wall, but many people simply do not go to their doctors for enough check-ups. Many people, especially those who are in their early forties and beyond tend to gain weight due to health related issues. It would be best if the person could address those issues first, since any underlying medical condition (especially the undiagnosed ones) can hamper proper weight loss.
Consult the experts. Any weight loss regimen should be done under the supervision of an expert. A doctor, a dietician, a nutritionist, a physical trainer – these are the people who can advice the person as to how lose weight safely, and keep the unwanted pounds off the scale 2 weeks at a time. The end goal should be not to lose weight and to keep it off,
Eat healthier. Eating healthier can help shed those pounds on a regular 2 week basis rather than going on a starvation diets, crash diets or fad diets. Cutting calories too much, too soon will only lead to the person starving himself or herself; and that will eventually lead to a lot of food bingeing afterwards. Depending on the advice of the expert, food portions and calories should be gradually reduced so that the person’s metabolism adjusts accordingly. The usual advices for dieters go: 6 smaller meals per day; drink more water; cut down on salty foods; cut down on or completely eliminate sugars and sweets; and bulk up more on vegetables and fruits.
Depending on the person’s present state of health, the exercise regiment should begin with some simple stretches and several minutes of cardiovascular exercises. A physically fit person can take as much as 10 minutes of simple stretches and half an hour of cardios. A person who has not done some serious exercises can start with a few minutes of stretching and up to 10 minutes of cardios. As the weeks pass, gradually increase both time and effort on the stretches and cardios. Graduate to more strenuous exercise slowly. Pushing for more punishing workouts can be counter productive. This will only “teach” the body to hate the workouts rather than pursue them on a longer time frame.
Give allowances for setbacks and weight loss plateau. As the body readjusts to a smaller meal plan and more active lifestyle, there will be some resistance at first. Weight gain is normal during the first few weeks, as with having a weight loss plateau. But these can be eradicated by keeping to the diet and the exercise program religiously.

In fact, if you want to lose pounds really fast, you should pretty much avoid all processed foods for the time being, including breads, cereals, pastas, packaged snack foods, baked goods, etc. Regarding how to lose pounds, dinner could include a fresh garden salad, grilled chicken, and green vegetables. By switching from an unhealthy to healthy and lower calorie dinner, weight will begin to come off. When it comes to the best way to lose pounds, an individual needs to go backwards in time.
